Being the popular candidate by re-running, Wilson easily won nomination at the convention. Republican Party: Charles Evans Hughes After the split in the previous nomination for Republicans, the committee wanted to heal the split and create one solid party once again. Beating several candidates, former Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes won based on neutrality with the split. |
