Princeton's High Academics Building in the Early 1900s
After declining offers to be president of University of Illinois and Virginia, Wilson finally accepted the offer to be the president of Princeton University. His major accomplishments included changing the number of faculty from 112 to 174, as well as adding new facilities to the college. He created the core requirements for the college and a majority of the requirements are still used today. He met ex-President Grover Cleveland here, who became a trustee for Princeton's graduate school. The experience he gained from Princeton would lead into his epic political career.
